Where they started
Nominations and scheduling sit at the centre of a pipeline or terminal business, and the systems carrying them are often the ones most in need of replacement. We have worked on them across several engagements, with crude, natural gas, NGLs and refined products.
What we did
Each engagement followed the work from pipeline nomination through to settlement, and prepared the ground for a system replacement:
- Assessment. How nominations, scheduling, movement and settlement actually run today, and where the current systems fall short.
- Evaluation. The options for replacement, assessed against that picture.
- RFP. Requirements written and the request for proposal run.
- Roadmap. The replacement sequenced into a plan the business could fund.
- Terminal inventory. Where terminals were in scope, inventory was part of the same picture.
What changed
System replacements specified from how scheduling actually works, and roadmaps to get there — rather than a system chosen first and the process fitted to it afterwards.
